Some frequently asked questions

Who in my organization is the “best fit” for your programming?

Our sense is that “the #2” is often best positioned to design & implement new processes, norms, and infrastructure in service of supporting strong organizational health, but structure & org charts vary across organizations. This will typically be someone who works very close / in partnership with the head of an organization but who also tends to be more internal-facing and management-focused across the rest of the team. Sample titles include Chief of Staff, Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer, Head of People & Culture, and Deputy Director. If you’re not sure if this is you – or if you suspect there’s someone better placed at your org to participate – let’s chat!

I’m already so busy. That’s the problem. Why would I join a Team Assembly program?

So glad you asked. For at least three reasons:

  1. This is a practical space. Time is a finite resource, and we’ve heard loud and clear that folx in these roles don’t have much of it. Surely you’ll be finding time to grapple with your trickiest unsolved challenges yourself: instead, bring them here. While we’ll have some programming tailored to widespread needs and gaps, this isn’t primarily a “download” environment with long lectures and static resources. We’re here to workshop with you in real-time.

  2. It’s about optimization. Too often across the board, we’re each recreating the wheel. But undoubtedly, there are people in this sector who have faced similar challenges and have experimented with different solutions than you’ve got in mind. Engaging together on shared problems can unearth useful expertise and creative ways to work smarter, not harder.

  3. The movement needs you in one piece! You know the old wisdom about “putting on your own oxygen mask first”? Working on causes across this sector requires a marathon, not a sprint. And people in these roles report high susceptibility to possible burnout. No matter how much of a workhorse you are, we all have limits. This space is also about finding solidarity, normalizing challenges, and prioritizing self-care (and self-development) in service of the cause. Treat yourself!

I know someone who would be a great fit for this, whether as a participant, coach, or trainer. Are you interested in an intro?

Yes, absolutely! We’d love to chat. Please send them our way!
